In Years 12 & 13
After Year 12 your son or daughters main options are:
- continue their course (or start a new one) at sixth form or college.
- become an Apprentice.
- get a job.
In addition to the above, after Year 13 your son or daughter may also be able to:
Taking a year out as a ‘gap year’ or to do a Year in Industry (YINI) placement is another option that young people may consider.
This section aims to give you an overview of the options available to your son or daughter in Year 12 and 13 and tell you more about the help we provide at this important time.
