Volunteering

Volunteering is a great opportunity for your son or daughter to get involved with their local community and make a difference.

It can also give your son or daughter valuable work experience and the opportunity to develop new skills and make new friends.

If your son or daughter is interested in volunteering, there are plenty of opportunities for them to get involved though organisations such as:

Community Service Volunteers CSV is the UK’s largest volunteering and training organisation.

Timebank is a national charity providing information on volunteering.

vinspired  has a database of volunteering opportunities for 16-25 year olds.

Volunteering England is an organisation that supports volunteering throughout England and also has details of volunteering opportunities.

The Connexions Youth Development Volunteers programme provides an opportunity for young people to get involved in shaping services for them.

There will also be a range of volunteering opportunities with local organisations. Your son/daughter can ask their Personal Adviser, visit their local Connexions Centre or visit the Young People section of this website for more information.
