JA 14-19 Information Leaflets - a series of information leaflets covering various parts of the 14-19 curriculum which can be downloaded from the Staffordshire Partnership website free of charge. This pack contains teacher resource sheets and case studies and is suitable for Young People, Connexions Advisers, School IAG Staff or School Teachers.
The Personal Finance Education Group (pfeg) is an educational charity whose mission is to ensure that all young people leaving school have the confidence, skills and knowledge in financial matters to take part fully in society. pfeg offers a range of advice and resources suitable for pupils of all ability levels, as well as reflecting different social, economic and cultural backgrounds. pfeg supports UK teachers working with young people age 4 to 19.
My Money, the DCSF funded project led by pfeg is supporting schools. My Money's free suite of resources for primary and secondary schools across the curriculum are now available to order online at www.mymoneyonline.org - be sure to order your copies today. You'll also find an exiting interactive online game taking students on a journey through life, facing financial decisions along the way to use as a fun and engaging resource in the classroom.
2070: Launch Your Life
This new web-based resource from pfeg aims to improve understanding amongst 14 – 18 year olds in the UK about the need for, and value of, long term financial lifestyle planning. They will take part in a life simulator where they Make some decisions about their future, then zoom forward to 2070 and see if they have achieved their goals.
The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Area Prospectus way2go.me.uk is a searchable database of all learning opportunities in schools, colleges and training organisations open to 14-19 year olds in the two LA areas. It also has a range of useful links to supporting websites, such as the Stoke E-File (where pupils' access their Individual Learning Plans and online course applications). A Student Guide & Workbook for Way2go are available for use in lessons. (NB: These are in Word format as the exercises need editing to reflect local names and post codes)
Staffordshire Learning Net contains information for professionals involved in learning in Staffordshire and beyond. The 14 – 19 Education section of the site provides regularly updated information and advice as well as details of opportunities for continuing professional development. The Staffordshire IAG Page collects together useful links relating to IAG for partners and practitioners in Staffordshire.
