The Skills Investment Strategy 2010–11 underpins the priorities announced in the recently published national skills strategy Skills for Growth.
The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) plans and funds the provision of further education and training for everyone in England and Wales. It aims to raise participation levels and improve the level of skills across the country. The LSC Local Area Statement of Need for Staffordshire identifies the actions that are required at a local level, to improve participation levels and attainment across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
