Time off Work for Study or Training
If you're in a job that offers little or no training, you could be eligible to time off work for study or training. Time off for Study or Training (TfST) allows you to take reasonable paid time off during normal working hours to study or train for an approved qualification.
You qualify for TfST if you’re age 16 or 17 and left school with no Level 2 qualifications (e.g. GCSEs at grade A* to C or NVQ2).
If you’re age 18, TfST allows you to finish training for any qualifications you’ve already started working towards.
